Sherry von Schoen is a wonderful 12 month old German Shephed on the smaller side. In addition to this young girl being one of the prettiest red and black shepherds at the rescue, she is also one of the sweetest. Sherry meets everyone, people and dogs alike, so politely and loves attention. She loves getting out and starts off her walks with quite the happy trot. But it doesn't take her long to settle down and walk at your side, even waiting for you whenever you fall a few steps back. Sherry is such a smart girl: she knows her sit and whenever you come to a stop, she either sits right next to you or lies down, sometimes turning over for an impromptu belly rub session. And then when you sit down or do her favorite thing -- like lie down on a grassy spot, she cuddles up to you so close and encourages more and more cuddles with little bops of her nose on your hand. Sherry is great around other dogs; she is tolerant of most personality types - even pushy, sniffer types -- and greets them all with gentle kisses hello. Sherry is such a happy and social dog that she would fit well in almost any home. But what she really wants is a family that wants to be around her as much as she wants to be around them. She is excellent in the car and, being a young pup, she wants to see and learn more of the world, all with you leading the way.
